Hi, My name is Jenna and welcome to Your Healthy Balance!
I am a 20-something, food loving, cooking enthusiast located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Working a full-time job by day, and cooking up a storm by night, for the past 5 years I have been pursuing new ways to share my passion for healthy food, nutrition, fitness and overall wellbeing.
My obsession with nutrition and cooking stemmed from an unhealthy lifestyle throughout my childhood and teenage years. After becoming fed up with this type of lifestyle, and realizing the amazing effects that eating a well-balanced diet can have on your overall health & wellbeing, I never looked back. Fad diets and over-restrictive eating has never worked for me, and it is not a very realistic way of living either. After many years of trying new things, I am happy to say I have found what works best for me.
Growing up, I was an active child. I was always participating in sports, school teams and sports camps and I genuinely enjoy finding ways to stay active, especially outside. Now that I have grown up and have joined together my love of staying active with my new passion of nutrition, I am hoping to share my journey with the world!
I hope that this blog inspires you to become the best version of you. I am not here to convince you to eat one way or another, or to stay active in the same way that I do. I only hope to help you find your own healthy balance.
